Lush bent grass covers the playing area from tee box to green. Chaska Town Course is owned and operated by the City of Chaska. Prior to opening in 1997, then Chaska Mayor Bob Roepke emphasized Chaska’s commitment to quality golf, “Our vision is that Chaska will be home to both the best private (Hazeltine National) and the best public courses in Minnesota. That vision has become a reality for Chaska as Hazeltine National Golf Club and Chaska Town Course co hosted the National Amputee Tournament in 2003 and United States Amateur in 2006. Golf Guide Minnesota’s review of the Town Course resulted in headlining it’s August 1997 issue with, “Chaska redefines municipal courses.”
